Step 2: Adjust and improve your texts during the editing and text correction phase

Once you are satisfied with the content of your manuscript, it is time for the editing phase. Our advice is to let someone else edit and/or correct your texts. Because you wrote the text yourself, you probably don’t see your own mistakes. You can of course ask an acquaintance to take a critical look at your manuscript. This will already ensure that many small errors disappear from the text. However, we recommend that you always hire a professional to assist you while editing and/or correcting your text.

Our editor will assist you in editing your manuscript and provide you with tools to improve the text. For example with regard to the plot, the tension, the characters and the writing style. Or in the case of non-fiction whether the information comes across clearly.

Are you completely satisfied with your manuscript and would you like to have it checked for, among other things, grammatical errors, sentence structure, spelling errors and punctuation? Then contact us for the text correction. We are happy to make a tailor-made offer.

Preparing for Step 3: Design

In addition, it is now time to think about what you want the cover to look like. Most customers who visit a bookstore or online store will first look at the cover of the book and then read the back cover text. So it’s extremely important that the back cover text is catchy and accurately reflects the content of your book.
What is your target audience and how do you make a reader curious about the content? Take a look at the back covers of bestsellers at the bookstore, online stores or the library, learn from them and use them to write your own back cover text. Are you not sure or would you rather outsource the writing of the back cover text? Which can! Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
